How far would you go to become AI-first?
At the Imagine AI conference in Vegas last week, one keynote stood out:
Eric Vaughan, CEO of IgniteTech. He didn’t give a theoretical talk about transformation. He told a story of total reinvention. His company, a 30-year-old tech firm, went
all-in on AI. Top-down. No fluff. No half-measures.
His mandate? Retrain everyone. Use AI for everything. Build and sell only AI-first tools. The result?
In two years, 77% of his workforce turned over.

That sounds brutal until you realize: It’s like asking right-handed people to become left-handed. Or telling your whole team: “
Starting now, we all speak Mandarin.”
This isn’t some distant future.
It’s already here. Vaughan didn’t sugarcoat it, and we shouldn’t either. When the printing press shows up, you stop writing by hand.
Here’s the play:
Don’t wait for the dust to settle. Create a culture of urgency, experimentation, and learning. AI transformation isn’t a memo—it’s a mandate. Start with training. Rethink your workflows.
Accept that not everyone will adapt. But those who do? They’ll run circles around the rest.

🌟 Bonus Content: Family Board Meeting
Here’s me and my son Vincent at Elitch’s. We do quarterly “family board meetings”—1:1, no phones, no distractions. Just real connection. Because if you’re not intentional about how you spend time, someone else will be. AI is amazing, but being present beats being plugged in.
